I am interested in revealing the ways in which our environments embody experiences of migration. Whether the migrations are our own, our parents’ or ancestors’, or of others in our societies, these movements shape landscapes and cultures everywhere. Regardless of the boundaries many nations may create through laws regarding incoming and outgoing migration, migration is an intrinsic part of human nature. The contradiction between the necessity of migration and the legislation which governments use to restrict it is something I explore in my art.
