How to use Elements and Principles Spinners together:
1. Spin both wheels 2. Write down the results in your sketchbook. 3. Use the Element of Art to illustrate Principle of Design by creating an artwork( Maybe a photograph or a sketch).
Color TheoryHow to use as a reference: Spin the wheel. Investigate the result by researching the color scheme. Determine if the color scheme works with your whole idea before applying it. Document this in your sketchbook. You may also find more information about color within this site by clicking this link here.

ThemeHow to use as a reference: Spin the wheel. Investigate the result by brainstorming how you can use this theme to develop imagery to show the theme. You may also wish to use this to find inspiration through association to a book that you have read with these same themes.

Explore facial expressions associated with each mood/expression. Use your camera to capture how you would emote these expressions and feelings. Use your photos as a reference.

Combine Ideas. Combine Processes. Combine Elements. Combine unrelated ideas.
Adapt
Adapt an existing idea that may not have worked before to fit the needs now.
Modify/Magnify
Modify an aspect of the problem. Change the scale of the work. Change the colors. Modify your processes to change the outcome.
Put to other Use
Put the Current Process or product that were intended for a specific purpose to another use to solve the problem. How else can this be used?
Eliminate
Eliminate a Process. Eliminate an idea. Simplify a process. Simplify an idea. Look for the most important aspect of the work.
Rearrange
Rearrange your composition, Rearrange objects, Rearrange objects.
Reverse
Reverse the Orientation. Reverse the direction of the process or product. Do things another way against the original purpose or idea.
