Shaft Warp: Lengthwise yarn Weft: Threads for side to side Dressing: warping threads on the loom Shuttle: A tool to carry the weft thread. Shed: The opening where you place the weft. Pick (noun)Each weft thread is a pick /Shot (verb): Each throw of the Shuttle through the shed is a shot. End: Each warp thread is an end. EPI (Ends per Inch): Number of warp threads per inch. Set(t): Refers to how many EPI you have. Selvage: The edge of your weaving. Sley: To draw warp ends through the reed. |
